From the Sea to Your Seat

Alaska's seafood is famous. With Cook My Catch excursions, experience the pinnacle of fresh seafood. Catch your own salmon or halibut with the help of a local expert, and in the evening our talented chefs will prepare your haul for your dinner — a Princess exclusive.

Fish must be caught while on select Princess approved excursions — including those in Juneau and Ketchikan or at the Kenai Princess Wilderness Lodge®, Copper River Princess Wilderness Lodge® & Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge® — and can be served for dinner.

As a part of North to Alaska, guests will be treated to an onboard demonstration that reveals the life and adventures of your host, an actual Alaskan lumberjack. Selected guests can also participate in an axe-throwing competition.

From the popular Discovery™ Channel program, Deadliest Catch, Captain David Lethin and his shipmates from The Aleutian Ballad relate their true-life adventures and experiences in the Bering Sea in pursuit of crab.

In the land where dogsledding reigns supreme, retired dog musher Libby Riddles comes on board as a part of our North to Alaska program to share stories of her success. As the first woman to win the 1,100-mile Iditarod sled dog race, she has many tales to tell about her road to triumph.

A Stirring Story of Community

New York Times best-selling author and renowned storyteller Nick Jans comes aboard to tell his emotional story of Romeo, the wolf, and the effect he had on the people of Juneau, as told in his book, "A Wolf Called Romeo."

Some of Skagway’s newest sled dogs come aboard with Puppies in the Piazza. Snap a picture with these loveable canines and meet their dog handlers, who will be training them for a life of dog mushing — a North to Alaska exclusive.
