Foodie Tour of the Waterfront
Your culinary adventure begins with a walk from the ship to the Halifax Waterfront Boardwalk where you'll meet your guide. As you pass by the waterfront's eclectic shops and galleries, you'll stop and sample a variety of sweet and savory treats beginning with a lobster roll, a Canadian favorite made with chunks of lobster served on a hot dog-style bun. Another local specialty is the beaver tail, a fried dough pastry that's individually hand stretched to resemble a beaver's tail and sprinkled with lots of cinnamon and sugar. Another sweet treat is a hand-paddled scoop of smooth and creamy ice cream. Then, you can walk off your small but nourishing samples with a leisurely walk back to your ship with your guide, or explore the city on your own.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
As you make your way through the waterfront, it may be interesting to note that an abundance of seafood in these crystalline waters lured the Mi'kmaq people to this idyllic area 13,000 years ago.

This tour program includes up to three hours of walking and standing. Participants should be in good physical condition and are cautioned to evaluate their personal level of ability and stamina. This tour is not available to guests utilizing mobility aids such as wheelchairs, walkers, canes, etc. Layered, weather-appropriate clothing and flat, comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
