WHAT YOU WILL VISIT

Saxman Native Village
After a short drive through downtown Ketchikan, arrive in Saxman Native Village to walk among the world's largest collection of totem poles. Hear the stories associated with these towering works of art. Enjoy leisure time to vist the Carving Shed, where carvers are busily working and passing on their craft to young apprentices, or the Village Store to purchase some of the finest Native art available or a memento of your visit.

Rainforest Trail
Leaving your vehicle, join cannery guides on a short guided walk along a rainforest trail with stunning views of George Inlet and Beaver Falls.

George Inlet Cannery
In a remote rainforest location, this historic cannery features restored and fully operational canning machinery. Tour an interactive exhibition that takes you inside the commercial fishing industry as you enjoy a delicious sampling of Alaska appetizers with beer or wine.

Wildlife Cruise
Board a spacious, comfortable excursion boat for a narrated cruise through glacier-carved George Inlet. Pass by Walden Rocks, where seals "haul-out" to rest and bald eagles and marine birds are found in abundance. Keep your eye out and camera ready throughout this spectacular scenic cruise – whales, sea lions or porpoises could show up at any time!

WHAT YOU WILL SEE ALONG THE WAY
Your scenic drive from the Ketchikan pier to Saxman Native Village and George Inlet travels the coastal Tongass Highway, taking you past historic Creek Street.

ALASKA APPETIZERS
Selections served at the cannery include smoked salmon spread with crostini, crab dip, salmon skewers with grilled pineapple, grilled chicken skewers, smoked cheese and reindeer sausage, and blueberry and salmonberry pastries. A glass of wine or Alaskan beer is included as well as water, soda, coffee and hot chocolate.

Special Notes:

This tour operates in all weather conditions. Dress in warm layers and wear comfortable walking shoes. Wildlife sightings are frequent, but not guaranteed. Guests should be prepared to walk over a variety of uneven terrains.
