Your excursion begins at Fort Street Tourism Village at the pier where you'll board your air-conditioned transportation for the transfer to the city dock. From here a riverboat will take you on an approximately two hour guided river cruise. Enjoy the scenery as you cruise along the Belize River, stopping along the way at various points of interest. Your captain will expertly navigate the waterway as your guide points out the interesting highlights teeming within the lush tropical foliage and emerald water. Keep your camera ready, as you're likely to see crocodiles, howler monkeys, iguanas, and a wide variety of birds.
You'll continue on to the amazing Mayan ruins of Altun Ha. The Altun Ha site is set in a lush rain forest. Enjoy a tour of this breathtaking Mayan ceremonial site. Once a thriving city and trade center, walk amongst the 13 structures that surround two plazas and its 60-foot Temple of the Sun God. For a panoramic vantage point and photo opportunities, climb up the steps to the tops of three main temples on the site and capture the views of the surrounding countryside.
At the end of your tour, enjoy a traditional lunch and some free time to shop for souvenirs before you board your transportation for the ride back to the pier where your ship awaits to take you on your next amazing adventure.

Tour sequence may vary. Visitors to Altun Ha must negotiate some uneven surfaces. Wear comfortable walking shoes and long pants are recommended but not always necessary. Wildlife sightings, while common, are not guaranteed. A liability waiver must be completed prior to participating on this tour. Minimum age to participate is 4 years old.
