Cave Tubing & Scenic Drive

Your excursion begins at the pier where you'll board your air-conditioned transportation for the drive into the jungle. Along the way, your tour guide will share a brief history of Belize, its people and culture on an approximately 90-minute drive through savannas and quaint villages to your destination at Jaguar Jungle Camp.

Upon arrival at Jaguar Jungle, you'll be greeted by trained staff, outfitted with your gear, and given a safety briefing before a 35 minute hike down to the clear waters of the Caves Branch River. Jump into your tube and feel the excitement as you float into mysterious limestone archways beckoning you into the mouth of centuries old caves that hold untold stories of Maya rituals. Explore the many awe-inspiring formations that adorn these caves. Learn about the flora and fauna that surrounds them. Enjoy the refreshing cool water as it takes you down small rapids, letting the meandering currents guide you where they will. Just relax and sit back in your tube, immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the jungle, and let go as your guide leads you through the currents that continue to carve and shape these natural wonders.

Exhilarated and energized from your adventure, make your way out the river and up to the Bushcamp Café where you can purchase snacks and drinks, change to dry clothes or shop for souvenirs. On your ride back to the pier where your ship awaits, reflect on the marvelous expedition you've just completed.

Special Notes:

The minimum age required to participate is 8 years old and the minimal height is 48 inches. Expectant mothers are restricted from participation. Not recommended for passengers suffering from claustrophobia, have neck or back problems. This active excursion is suitable only for passengers in good physical condition there is a 35 minute hike to the tubing starting point. Once participants join their tour, they will be required to complete a liability waiver. Passengers must be able to swim and the supplied safety vest must be worn at all times during the tubing. Participants should wear a swimsuit, T-shirt, shorts, tennis shoes (which will get wet) or water shoes and bring a towel. A change of clothes is recommended and changing rooms are available for use after the tubing. Each bus will have a locker at the facility to store belongings. Snacks and drinks are available for purchase at the site. The photo service at some venues is not affiliated with or provided by the cruise line or tour operator. Any photos purchased from this service will be the passengers' responsibility.
