Description

Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.

Your excursion begins at the pier where you'll board your transportation for the transfer to Bacab Eco-Adventure Park to discover the Belizean tropical forest by horseback on a guided safari. This nature park has more than 500 acres to explore and features over 200 species of flora that supports a diverse population of wildlife. Upon arrival, you'll receive a brief orientation before mounting your horse with help if needed using a mount. Embark on an hour-long jungle safari ride. The trail winds through a gallery of royal palms as parrots nesting up near the fronds call out across the forest. In the high canopy of intertwining branches of guanacaste trees, bullet trees, tarpon blossom and bukut trees, look for black howler monkeys as their cries fill the air, defining their territory, and iguanas lazily sun themselves on rocks below as well as in the trees above.

After your ride, kick up your heels and relax in one of our many hammocks in the shade of a Buttonwood Tree, or cool down in the pool that features a waterslide and sculpted waterfall. If relaxing isn't your speed, learn about the many uses of native plants on Ixchel's Walk, a self guided path of botanical and medicinal plants.

Before boarding your transportation for the return drive back to your ship, you'll have time to visit the park's gift shop where you can find a variety of handicrafts and souvenirs of Belize to serve as a memento of this fun filled day.
