What you will visit:
Crystal Caves Adventure
Formed over millions of years through water erosion, Crystal Caves are rooms of spectacular stalagmite and stalactite crystal structures created as rainwater dripping through the limestone ceiling of the caves left calcium deposits behind. Pirates once used these caves as hideaways to shelter themselves from the elements as well as to bury their treasure. A secret lake is found deep within, and a lush landscape surrounds the area. Wildlife abounds with colorful birds and iguanas outside and fruit bats inside the caves.
What you will see along the way:
A relaxed drive en route to Crystal Caves takes you along the South Sound area to glimpse the new mansions on the island as well as the classic, old-style Cayman homes, which resemble gingerbread houses. Continue through the district of Bodden Town, the first capital of Grand Cayman. As you pass the charming homes, locals can be seen relaxing in the sun on their verandas overlooking the Caribbean Sea.
Snack:
A bottle of water is provided as you walk through the caves.
