Description

Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.

This is not your ordinary pub crawl-instead of walking from one establishment to the other you'll be riding through town on a Pub Crawler, a party bike that seats up to 15 people. It's a fun and unique way to soak up the sights, breathe in the fresh air and get a little exercise.

Your two-hour bike and beer excursion (for those 21 and older) begins at the pier where your guide will be waiting. Designed to look like a trolley car, the Pub Crawler offers comfortable seating on the side, a bench seat in the rear, rack-and-pinion steering, and a canopy top that offers shade. (Although you'll pedal to the pub, your guide will control the steering and brakes). The tour includes two local beers but you can purchase up to two additional drinks, snacks and souvenirs.

As youtravel from destination to destination, your knowledgeable guide will regale you with tales about Sitka's fascinating history as you pedal past Mariners Wall, a memorial dedicated to southeast Alaska's maritime history as well as the Russian Block House, the Russian orthodox cathedral and the Pioneer Home.

Your first watering hole is the oldest pub in town, Ernie's Old Time Saloon. Not only is it the oldest bar, but it's one of the oldest buildings in town. It has a great history you can help celebrate as you partake its long-time specialty drink, an Alaskan Tradition!
Soon, you'll pedal up to the Pioneer Bar, known affectionately by the locals as the P Bar, a classic maritime watering hole complete with walls adorned with photos of fishing boats and their crews. (A word to the wise-don't ring the bell that hangs over the bar unless you're able to buy everyone a drink!)

Your last call of the day is the Bayview Pub, which offers superb views over the town. At the conclusion of your crawl, you'll rejoin your bike and your designated driver/guide will take you back to you ship to reflect on your adventure or enjoy the option of staying at the pub on your own. Transportation back to your ship is directly across the street from the pub.

Special Notes:

Participants must be at least 21 years of age, carry valid photo ID and be comfortable pedaling a bicycle.
