Begin your adventure by stepping aboard a modern, waterjet-driven, high performance catamaran tour vessel specially designed to navigate narrow island passages and open bays for spectacular wildlife viewing at close range. Accompanied by a skilled captain, a professional naturalist and a friendly crew, you will set out into the glistening waters of the sound, home to the greatest variety of wildlife in southeast Alaska.
As you cruise through this beautiful coastal environment, you'll have the opportunity to observe playful sea otters, migrating whales, sea lions, porpoises, harbor seals, brown bears, blacktail deer, bald eagles and an endless variety of marine birds. Your knowledgeable onboard naturalist will explain the delicate workings of this remarkably beautiful ecosystem. Learn about the sea otter's recovery following their near extinction at the hands of Russian fur hunters in the early 1800s.
Each vessel features a warm, spacious, comfortable cabin with large wrap-around windows, restrooms and a snack bar where you can indulge in complimentary drinks and snacks including delicious pastries and smoked salmon. Visit the topside observation deck (remember to dress warmly!) for unparalleled photo opportunities and to fully enjoy the experience with all your senses.
