What you will visit:

Whale Watching Expedition
Whale sightings are guaranteed on this high-speed whale-watching cruise to Point Adolphus. Bring cameras and binoculars. Dress in layers, rain jackets, hats and/or gloves depending on the day's conditions. Along the way, you will travel through waters that support a wide array of marine life, including orca (killer) whales and of course the magnificent humpback whales. An on-board guide will describe the diversity of marine life.

What you will see along the way:
Travel by scenic cruise to the Point Adolphus area, one of Alaska's premier whale-watching sites, where you are guaranteed to catch sight of these incredible creatures. (No refund has been needed since 2004!) Keep your eyes open for other wildlife, including Steller sea lions, harbor seals, porpoises and bald eagles flying overhead. Along the shoreline, you may see Sitka black-tailed deer and, occasionally, bears.

Photo Opportunities:
Be sure to have your camera at the ready. Whales have a breathing cycle that typically lasts four to six minutes; they surface several times in quick succession to recharge their oxygen supply, then show their massive tail flukes before disappearing into the depths to feed on krill and small schooling fish. Your captain will maneuver the agile vessel for maximum photo opportunities.

Lunch:
After your nature expedition, reward yourself with a delicious seafood feast that includes shrimp and seasonal crab boiled in Southern seasoning with corn on the cob, Andouille sausage, onions, mushrooms, potatoes and garlic.

Special Notes:

The operator guarantees that a whale will be sighted on this excursion. If not, you will receive a refund for the whale-watching portion at the conclusion of the tour, a guarantee they have never paid. Weather conditions in southeast Alaska can change suddenly. Wear layered clothing and waterproof outwear. Tour includes standing for extended periods, uneven walking surfaces and negotiating a limited number of steps. Bring binoculars.

Unaccompanied Minor Policy: Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
