Photographers, nature enthusiasts and adventurers alike will thrill to this full-day exploration of Vancouver's picture postcard scenery. The excitement begins as you board your air-conditioned coach at the pier and head north out of Vancouver and up along the famed Sea to Sky Highway.

Before setting off be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and don't forget the camera - this outing will provide camera buffs with one jaw-dropping photo opportunity after another.

Then, sit back and relax as mile after scenic mile passes by your window. From this vantage point you can see why this stretch of Highway 99 is called the Sea to Sky Highway. A dramatic landscape of old-growth forest, coastal mountains and ocean greet you as you steadily climb from sea level to over 2,290 feet.

Soon, you'll reach Shannon Falls Provincial Park, home to the third highest waterfall in British Columbia. Once you arrive, you'll be able to get out and stretch your legs on a 15-minute walk through the forest to a lookout deck. Here, you can watch the 1,000-foot drop of the crystal clear water and feel the spray as it falls over the cliffs.

Photos taken, you'll rejoin your coach and continue on to the base camp of the Sea to Sky Gondola. Then, you'll disembark and step inside the cabin, which travels 7,004 feet across the canyon and 2,785 feet up to a viewpoint 2,903 feet above sea level. As you make your up way to the top get your camera poised for this dazzling panorama of earth, sea and sky. The eight-minute ride to the summit provides sweeping views of Howe Sound, the majestic coastal forest and surrounding mountains.

When you reach the top, you will have approximately three hours of free time to enjoy all outdoor adventures such as hiking and interpretive walks. Or if you're feeling even more daring be sure to check out the "Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge." Approximately 328 feet long, the bridge offers amazing 360-degree-views of Howe Sound and the coastal mountains.

Wish to take things a little less daring? You can stroll over to the Summit Lodge and relax and soak up the views from the viewing deck, a sprawling 5,000-square-foot deck that offers breathtaking views of the famous Co-Pilot and Sky Pilot mountain peaks. Or, you can end your perfect day with an enjoyable self-serve dinner inside the lodge at your own expense.

When it's time to call it a day, you'll take the gondola back down to the bottom, climb back aboard your coach and return to your ship in Vancouver.

This tour is only available passengers calling to Vancouver as a port of call; not for those disembarking.

Guests have the option to purchase a snack or meal at the Summit Lodge after the gondola ride. Participants may choose to enjoy outdoor activities once atop the summit or enjoy the views from multiple vantage points without any strenuous activities.
