What you will visit:

Astoria Waterfront
Astoria's Riverwalk extends the length of its scenic waterfront and is studded with lively cafes, museums, breweries and other attractions. This urban-industrial cycling and walking path follows the 1898 Astoria and Columbia River Railroad along the edge of the Columbia River and is an excellent way to admire Astoria's revitalized waterfront area. This 6.4-mile route offers a pleasant ride, with some bumpy sections of boardwalk.

What you will see along the way:
This perfect biking experience offers views of waterfront and coastline, passing thriving businesses on one side and the lovely Columbia River on the other. As you pedal along, see the graceful Astoria-Megler Bridge, cannery docks and passing fishing boats and enjoy views of California sea lions and an array of birdlife, including bald eagles, cormorants, terns, egrets and herons that nest on the shores.

Seafood Tasting:
Stop at a local fish cannery and enjoy a taste of fresh seafood as you learn more about the fishing industry on the lower Columbia River.

Special Notes:

Minimum age is 8. Dress in warm, layered clothing and wear flat, comfortable shoes suitable for bike riding. Raingear may be needed in case of inclement weather. Part of the path is on wooden piers with uneven surfaces and spaces between planks. Not recommended for inexperienced bike riders.
