Discover the whimsy of the great Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi on this cultural treasure trove of a tour. Unsuitable for those with walking difficulties due to the locations and time constraints, this wonderful day out will satisfy the appetite of any art lover as you explore Gaudi's incredible Art Nouveau legacy.

This four-hour trip starts when you board the motorcoach at Barcelona pier, for a memorable drive through the vibrant city of Barcelona, and here your guide will be on hand to point out any sights or locations of interest.

The first official stop of the day is the glorious Park Guell, which looks almost like a theme park thanks to its many fanciful structures and works of wonder. Gaudi created this amazing open space from 1900-1914 and it showcases his signature mosaics and quirky designs, such as the uniquely shaped serpentine bench, Colonnaded footpath or the much-loved multi-colored mosaic dragon that sits at the entrance to the park.

You will have 50 minutes to stroll around the park taking pictures and reveling in its beauty before heading back to the bus for the brief drive to the world-famous La Sagrada Familia church.

Here, your guide will lead you inside Gaudi's unfinished yet awe-inspiring masterpiece which has been under construction since 1882. Although it is open to worship, this magnificent building is not expected to be fully completed until 2026, but it really must be seen to be believed. You will have 50 minutes to wander through the outstanding structure, taking photos and admiring the many towering spires, stained glass windows and intricate design. Or perhaps you'll walk downstairs to the lower level for a stroll around the Gaudi Museum, which traces the architect's life and achievements.

Back onto the motorcoach, there's a mere ten-minute drive to your next location which takes you along the Passeig de Gracia, a stunning promenade that's home to many of Gaudi's buildings. One of the most breathtaking is Casa Batllo, built in 1877, and known locally as the 'House of Bones', thanks to its undulating, skeletal appearance. A remarkable building in every sense, it features irregular oval windows, flowing sculpted stonework, intricate mosaics and an arched roof that has been likened to the back of a dragon.

Having absorbed the best of Gaudi's artistry, you will continue to the pier, through the pulsating streets of Barcelona, a city that never fails to thrill or surprise.

THIS TOUR IS NOT AVAILABLE TO PASSENGERS EMBARKING OR DISEMBARKING IN BARCELONA.

Wear comfortable walking shoes and clothing suited to the day's conditions. Bring a hat and adequate sun protection.

There is a two block walk from the bus parking area to La Sagrada Familia for those that wish to take pictures.

Use of an audio headset (included) will enhance your tour experience.
