The wonders of Barcelona await on this delightful tour designed for passengers who have flights booked after 6:00pm who are looking for an active way to fill their hours with plenty of fun souvenir shopping, walking, and sight-seeing.

You will spend four memorable hours in Spain's second largest city (after Madrid), beginning with a 25-minute motorcoach drive from the harbor to the Gothic Quarter, known locally as the Barri Gotic.

The jewel in the crown here is the Cathedral of Barcelona - a 600-year-old building that boasts three naves, stained glass windows and an exquisite choir screen. Your guide will show you around the famous altar which holds the marble crypt of St. Eulalia, to whom the cathedral is dedicated.

Then, enjoy a stroll through the charming narrow streets of the Barri Gotic, soaking up its unique atmosphere, where you will view the Plaza San Jaime, home to Catalonia's government which is housed in many beautiful former palace buildings. With an hour here, you will also be able to view many other historic buildings including the Casa del' Ardacia, the Historic Archive, and King's Square, site of the former palace of the kings of Catalonia-Aragon. You'll also have time to browse the shops for souvenirs and gifts, including 20 minutes to wander the Ramblas, the wide shopping promenade that is lined with trees and market stalls.

This fun-filled tour also features a visit at the magnificent Sagrada Familia, Antonio Gaudi's magnificent church. Still unfinished after a century of toil, this awe-inspiring building features massive spires but lacks completed walls and a roof. Your guide will be able to tell you more about the church's many points of interest, including the massive nativity facade, the flamboyant spires, and the modern stained glass windows.

Back on the motorcoach, you'll wind your way through the colorful streets of Barcelona en route to Montjuic for a glorious photo opportunity. Ascending the 700-foot-tall Mount Montjuic, you will arrive at the Olympic Ring, one of the major venues for the 1992 Games, and the site of the opening and closing ceremonies. The mount is an architectural delight featuring parks, fountains, and museums, and is famous for its panoramic views of the city. With the tour at an end, those who have flights booked will then board the motorcoach for the transfer to the airport.

Special Notes:

This tour may be offered on the day of disembarkation to passengers with late flights after 6:00 pm. Passengers who have purchased a Princess Transfer will be able to purchase this tour at a reduced rate. Please see Tour Office onboard.

Passengers with Princess Air should book a customized air flight ticket to be sure they can participate on a tour the day of disembarkation. Passengers without a customized air flight may be booked on a flight which will prohibit them from participating on a tour on the day of disembarkation. Tour ends at Barcelona airport.

Flash photos are not permitted in the Cathedral.

Wear proper attire that covers shoulders and knees for the visit to the Cathedral.

On Sundays, church holidays, and after 12:00pm, tour groups are not allowed inside the Gothic Cathedral during services.

There is a two-block walk from the bus parking area to La Sagrada Familia for those that wish to take pictures.

Use of an audio headset (included) will enhance your tour experience.
