What You Visit:

Dog Sled Summer Camp
As you arrive at the summer training site, you'll be greeted by an Iditarod musher and some of the state's most famous athletes - the huskies that run in the Iditarod. After an educational tour of the camp you'll visit the replica of an Iditarod Race checkpoint and go through the steps each musher performs, step by step, as if you're traveling along the Iditarod trail. Next, climb aboard a comfortable wheeled sled and relax as your husky team whisks you along the one-and-a-half-mile trail through the beautiful landscape. You'll return to camp for your chance to visit with the dogs, and as a special treat, pet the puppies.

What You See Along The Way:
Embark on a breathtaking motorcoach drive along Gastineau Channel, through the historic AJ Gold Mine site and into the remote and scenic Sheep Creek Valley.

Special Notes:

Please dress warmly in layers. Sled ride covers 1.5 miles. In order to participate, children must be able to understand the rules of interaction with the dogs and a parent or guardian must be present to supervise any interaction.

Liability waiver is required to be signed in the presence of the tour operator.

Unaccompanied Minor Policy: Children 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Children 13 to 17 must have a signed parental consent form to participate without a parent or guardian.
