Hilo Bay Kayak Adventure
Delight in a guided and narrated tour of Hilo Bay and the Wailuku waterfalls, as seen by the seat of your double-person kayak. A certified guide leads the exploration and shares the history of the dramatic and varied landscape. Learn the history of Moku Ola (Coconut Island), glide down glassine rivers and explore hidden waterfalls, a hydroelectric plant of powered by the Wailuku River, and sunlit beaches. Below the shimmering waters, look for honu (green sea turtles) and other marine life. Take a swim before returning to shore.

What you will see along the way:
Experience the iconic vistas of Hilo from a unique perspective, the seat of your double-person kayak. Glide along the tranquil waters of Hilo Bay and see Coconut Island or Moku Ola, a small island in the pristine waters. As you paddle, get a taste of "old Hawaii" and its unspoiled landscapes. Sparsely populated, the area is home to magnificent waterfalls, stunning valleys, and charming towns. Marine life abounds and green sea turtles often pop up to say hello.

Special Notes:

This tour is for two guests traveling together who will share a double kayak. The price is per kayak, so only one person in the party needs to book. Minimum age is 5 years. Maximum weight is 275 lbs. Wear closed-toe shoes (mandatory). Not suitable for guests with heart, neck or back conditions. Wear a swimsuit and bring a towel and sunscreen.
