Departing from your ship, you'll board a motorcoach for a scenic ride to the fertile Yarra Valley and the Healesville Sanctuary. You'll wind your way along the roads passing open vistas of flowers and berry farms.

Your first stop in this thriving landscape is the Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary, nestled in the lush Valley's foothills. Here, you'll get to explore the natural bush setting and see many of Australia's native wildlife. You'll have the chance to get close to over 200 different species including platypus, koalas, emus, Tasmanian devils, lyrebirds, wombats and eagles. Have a wallaby eat right from your hand. And you won't want to miss the Sanctuary's new BHP Billiton Platypusary that reveals the previously hidden world of platypus, or the working wildlife hospital with unprecedented views into the care of sick, injured and orphaned wildlife.

From your Sanctuary visit, you'll re-board your motorcoach for a short ride into the farmlands of the Yarra Valley. Like Bordeaux or Burgundy in the South of France, or the Tuscany region of Northern Italy, the Valley is a world class, world-renowned wine region. Home to over 55 wineries, it's recognized as a producer of exceptional sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, pinot noir, shiraz and cabernet sauvignon.

Lunch will be served at a local winery. A highlight of the Yarra Valley you'll have an opportunity to sample award-winning wines at their cellar door as well as appreciate the landscape.

After lunch there is time for one more tasting before heading back to the ship. Visit a local charming vineyardand enjoy a tasting of their extensive range.

Your day concludes as you re-board your motorcoach for a relaxing, picturesque ride back to the city and your ship.
