Flying over and walking on the magical Mendenhall Glacier is a bucket list experience no one will ever forget. It all begins with a short transfer to the heli pad base. After checking in and a safety briefing, you're ready for takeoff. Soon, you'll be up in the wild blue yonder, enjoying breathtaking views seen by a few. Your flight will take you over the glacier, ice spires, deep blue crevasses and meltwater pools. A gentle landing brings you onto the ice itself, where you'll explore the glacier's surface for approximately 25 minutes with highly experienced, expert guides.

Photo Opportunity:
Gaining altitude, you'll see spectacular ice falls and the Mendenhall Towers - rock sentinels that rise over 5,000 feet out of the glacier.

What You See Along The Way:
With this unique eagle's-eye-view, you'll have a panoramic view of the verdant rain forests, alpine ridges, and mountain peaks that create a dramatic setting for the awe-inspiring Mendenhall Glacier.

Special Notes:

Weight surcharge ($130) may apply on this flight. Due to weight and balance limitations, as well as passenger safety and comfort, the helicopter companies have advised that guests weighing 250 lbs. or more (fully clothed) will be assessed the weight surcharge to reserve adequate space onboard the helicopter. Guests weighing 250 lbs. or more should reserve an extra surcharge ticket and, once onboard, go to the Tour Office to have the ticket charge adjusted down to the surcharge amount. Refer to the FAQ section for important information about flightseeing.

Children under the age of 2 may travel as a lap child at no cost; however, the weight of the child will be added to the weight of the parent on whose lap they will be sitting. Carry-on bags are not allowed and there is limited secure storage at the heliport. iPads, iPad minis, tablets, drones and Go-Pro Sticks or other extendable items are not permitted on tour. Aircraft fly no higher than 7,000 feet. Oxygen for personal use is allowed but must be in the form of an FAA approved portable oxygen concentrator that can be secured to the user's body.

Helicopter excursions are not refundable unless cancelled by 12:00pm on the day after embarkation.

Unaccompanied Minor Policy: Children 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Children 13 to 17 must have a signed parental consent form to participate without a parent or guardian.
