Join your guide at the pier and commence a scenic drive showcasing the best of this popular island. Located off the west coast of the Greek mainland, Corfu is just 36 miles long and 15 miles wide so it's easy to get to know; especially with the expert narration offered along the way. You'll learn that Corfu boasts 3 million olive trees: just one of the reasons this is considered to be the Mediterranean's emerald isle. It also boasts groves of orange and lemon trees plus a lush tapestry of native vegetation.

The coastline is an attraction in itself with rocky coves, tranquil bays and secluded beaches. Dotted with picturesque villages and boasting ideal weather, the island is a paradise for camera buffs, culture mavens and sun seekers and this captivating full-day tour takes full advantage of its many attractions.

Driving past the Old Fortress, you'll get a glimpse of this historic architectural gem built in the 16th century you will head towards the female Monastery of Agia Paraskevi founded in the 17th century. It is located above Palaiokastritsa at a panoramic location. The Monastery's Katholikon is a simple Basilica and houses post-Byzantine and Ionian-style icons. It celebrates the memory of Agia Paraskevi on 26th July with the participation of all nearby villages.

Situated in the fertile Ropa Valley and owned by one of the oldest families on the island, the 300-acre Theotoky Estate is a delightful place for a relaxing visit. It's sheltered by mountains and surrounded by fragrant pine forests, ancient olive groves and verdant vineyards. And the estate hosts you to a delightful journey of the senses. Meet the friendly staff for an introduction to three generations of wine and olive oil-making history. You'll visit the cellars and see the olive press and then enjoy a tasting of wines and organic olive oils accompanied by cheese, fresh bread and olives grown on the estate. At the end of your visit you can make a purchase of wine or olive oil.

Corfu Town regales you with the picturesque ambience of an elegant medieval town. Stop at the famous Church of St. Spyridon to honor the island's patron saint and, of course, take a few photos of the distinctive bell tower. A walking tour with your guide takes in such notable landmarks as the Old and New Venetian Fortresses, the Town Hall Square, the Square of the Saints, and more. Then enjoy some free time to explore on your own, perhaps lingering along the Liston on Esplanade square, still the only place in Greece where one is able to watch a cricket match being played.

Corfu's architecture reflects many centuries and numerous cultures. Possession of the island has triggered many conflicts and the resulting change of hands is evidenced in the addition of Venetian, French and British influences. The town of Corfu will be explored on foot and involves walking over level terrain.  Respectful attire must be worn when visiting the Monastery. Please note that ladies must have their shoulders covered and shorts are not permitted. Photography and filming are not permitted in the Monastery of Agia Paraskevi.
