WHAT YOU VISIT
Budva
Often called the "Montenegrin Miami" for its lively nightlife and crowded beaches, Budva dates back to the 5th century B.C. A stop above the city boasts panoramic views of its Venetian walls that jut out over the crystalline waters and creamy white buildings topped with red-tiled roofs.
Kotor
Upon returning to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, you can set out on your own and discover a maze of cobblestone streets, simple buildings topped with sepia-toned roofs, and lovely Romanesque churches all surrounded by stunning views and overlooking the sparkling, fjord-like Bay of Kotor (or Boka, as the locals like to call it).
PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
From the stunning beauty of the Bay of Kotor to the unparalleled views overlooking the town of Budva, your camera will be working overtime.
SNACK
One of the joys of traveling is immersing yourself in the culture and tasting a new cuisine. Before leaving Kotor, you'll stop at a local restaurant for a sampling of smoked ham and cheese, brandy and wine.
WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Flanked by steep, weather-beaten cliffs and charming houses that trickle down to the shore, Boka's coastline stretches out over 66 miles and is home to medieval cities and multimillion-dollar yachts.
