WHAT YOU VISIT
Lake Skadar Boat Cruise
After following a scenic route from Kotor to Lake Skadar National Park, you'll step off the coach and into a boat for a memorable cruise across the mirrored water of one of the last freshwater reserves in the country. Over six-miles-wide, 26-feet-deep and 27-miles-long, the stunning lake is surrounded by dramatic mountains, chestnut-covered hills, and blooming wildflowers. Once the summer residence of the Montenegrin royal family, today its home to lily-strewn lakeshores, monasteries, fishing villages and islands. A refreshing dip in the cool lake waters from the boat is the ideal way to end your day.
LUNCH
Following your cruise, your captain will moor the boat at a nearby restaurant where you can soak up the sun and feast on fish freshly plucked from the lake.
WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Like a picture postcard come to life, a cruise on Lake Skadar offers views of storybook villages dotting the shore, numerous islands, a complex of ancient monasteries, and quiet beaches.

Special Notes:

Swimming is done from the boat, not from a beach. Wear your swimsuit under your clothes and bring a towel if you plan to swim. Take sunblock, head cover and sunglasses. Guests must negotiate three steps (with handrail) to get on and off the boat. The drive to Skadar Lake is approximately 90 minutes each way. Although the lake is also well known for its many species of birds, the sightings are unlikely during late morning and afternoon hours, especially during the hot summer months.
