WHAT YOU VISIT

Spend the day enjoying seaside as well as mountain scenery and to experience different microclimates. With a well-trained guide behind the wheel of a 4x4 vehicle, you can soak up the natural wonders of Kotor's breathtaking environs. After passing Kotor's city walls, your driver will make his way along a narrow and winding road that ascends approximately 3,000 feet along steep drop-offs and 25 hairpin turns. Admire the stunning countryside and quaint towns such as Dolovi, an authentic Montenegrin village that has changed little through the centuries. Back on the main road, you'll reach the valley of Ivanova Korita, which sits in the heart of Lovcen National Park. From here, you'll continue up the slopes of Mt. Lovcen to the village of Njegusi.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
Stretching out over 38 forested miles, Lovcen National Park is an important reserve for many of Montenegro's native bird species including falcons and eagles. Keep your camera handy-any one of the 200 species that call the park their home may make a happy appearance.

SNACK
The village of Njegusi with its old stone houses is well-known for its prosciutto and cheese, known locally as "pršut" and "sir." After a day of off-roading, you're invited into one of the charming farms and enjoy a sample.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Accompanying you on your journey is the impressive Mt. Lovcen. Overlooking Kotor, the mountain boasts two imposing peaks, the 5,738-foot-tall Stirovnik and the 5,436-foot-tall Jezerski vrh.
