Easy City Drive & La Corniche

Discover a different side of Marseille on this fabulous half day tour that will take you along a delightful coastal path, known as the Corniche President J.F.Kennedy.
Essentially a three-mile long coastal road, it is one of the most popular attractions in the region. The road leads from the centre of Marseille to the Prado and the Prado beaches (Gaston Defferre beaches), constructed between 1850 and 1861.
After being picked up by your guide and driver at Marseille pier, you will drive along the Corniche, enjoying the stunning views of its craggy coves and beaches, as well as the offshore islands including, the If Castle fortress, which was built in 1524 and sits on the tiny Isle of If.
During your tour you will see the Basilica Notre-Dame de la Garde, you will make a photo stop of the Basilica on the Corniche Kennedy, which is famous for its amazing gilded statue of the Virgin and Child. The statue is located in front of the basilica and looks down on Marseille, as if to protect the city and the people below
You will pass by the impressive Cathedral de la Major, an extravagant Neo-Byzantine structure that goes back to the 19th century, and also the busy Le Vieux Port. A short stop will be made here enabling you to shop for souvenirs, and browse the delightful little shops and boutiques. A fascinating harbor, the fisherman here in the morning, mingle with the younger crowd who frequent the fashionable bars, restaurants and theaters that have revitalized this part of town.
After you have visited this unique costal stretch, and enjoyed some fun shopping, the motorcoach will drive you back to Marseille pier, through this lively and unforgettable Mediterranean town..

This tour will only operate during the afternoon. There is no walking difficulties for this tour so guests with heavy walking difficulties can easily choose this tour. Please kindly note that the Photo stop for Notre Dame de la Garde is on the Corniche Kennedy which give you the opportunity to take a photo of the Basilica.
