What You Visit:

Norris Glacier Dog Sled Adventure
Feel the thrill of zipping across a glacier behind a team of huskies! Your exciting journey begins with a ride to the heliport. There, you'll don a pair of glacier overboots and board the helicopter for your flight over the Alaskan ice field. Soon, you'll set down on picturesque Norris Glacier. When you disembark, you'll be greeted by top Iditarod race veteran mushers who'll introduce you to their dogs and share what it's like to run this brutal race. Soon, you'll learn how to master the all-important commands of Hike! Gee! and Haw! as you and your fellow amateur mushers take turns riding in the basket and driving the dog team. Designed by an Iditarod musher to showcase mushing and the philosophy of devotion to and care of the dogs, this eperience is sure to be a thrill of a lifetime.

Photo Opportunity:
As you experience the excitement of dog sledding first hand, you may see mountain goats, bears, eagles and an occasional moose nestled in the wilderness of Norris Glacier.

What You See Along The Way
During the first leg of your breathtaking flight, you'll get to see some of nature's most beautiful landscapes in areas that are only accessible by air.
