The typical French Provencal village of Fontvieille, nestled in the heart of Alpilles, plays host to a sumptuous gastronomic experience on this full-day Discovery Exclusive tour that immerses you in the region's cuisine and scenic splendor.
A pleasant motorcoach ride, takes you to a classic olive farm, where your hosts for the day will share their passion for regional cooking and the beloved fruit of their labors. Here, thousands of olive trees grow and produce some of the world's finest olive oil. Stroll the grounds, visit the mill that is located adjacent to an 11th century chapel. Owner Mill St. Jean and your host will offer you taste the finest olive oil and tapenades made from their very own production. After this immersion, you'll lunch at a local restaurant in the village of Fontvieille.You'll continue on to the medieval village of Les Baux de Provence, perched on a rocky outcrop. Your guide will lead you on a walking tour of the town takes you down twisting cobblestone lanes flanked by grey-stone buildings and along deep ravines. See the ruins of an ancient castle and the interior of Saint Vincent church bathed in rich light that shines through its colorful stained-glass windows. After your pedestrian tour, enjoy some free time to explore on your own and do a little souvenir shopping or pop into one of the small museums.

The 90-minute drive back to the ship is a wonderful opportunity to chat with your fellow travelers about this exceptional day.
