What a unique way to see Alaska's "First City." This fun 75-minute tour begins when you hop aboard your rustic trolley and travel past some of the iconic landmarks and popular attractions of this charming waterfront town. Your knowledgeable guide will entertain you with stories and tall tales of Ketchikan's boisterous history and fascinating Native culture as you wind your way through Ketchikan's downtown district.

Along the way, be on the lookout for the lovely City Park. This 90-year-old city treasure sits on the banks of Upper Ketchikan Creek and was once the site of one of the city's largest salmon hatcheries. After falling into disrepair, volunteers from around the city came together to bring it back to its former glory. Today, it's a serene escape for locals and visitors alike.

Continuing on, you'll head out of the city for a brief photo stop and guided tour of the famed totem park at Saxman Native Village. Named for Samuel Saxman, a teacher who was lost at sea before realizing his dream of building a school and church on this site, the village boasts the world's largest collection of totem poles. A powerful representation of Alaskan Native culture and art, there are 32 of these majestic monoliths scattered throughout the village.

Climbing back aboard your motorcoach, you'll return to Ketchikan for a glimpse into the city's Gold Rush era with a stroll along legendary Creek Street. When gold and copper were discovered in the late 19th century miners, along with fishermen and frontiersmen, made Creek Street one of the most popular spots in town. Infamous as a red-light district, it once boasted more than 30 brothels during its heyday. As you meander along the wooden boardwalk, you'll see that it's filled today with museums, historic homes, and souvenir shops. One of the original brothels, Dolly's House, which was once owned by notorious madam Dolly Arthur, still sits on its original spot and houses a museum, which chronicles the area's colorful past.

You may explore Creek Street on your own and make your way back to your ship at your leisure via foot or the city's complimentary public shuttle. If you choose to not visit Creek Street you may stay onboard and your driver-guide will offer you a ride back to the ship.

Length of walk at Creek Street is approximately 2 to 3 blocks. Price includes trolley tour only. Entrance fees at Creek Street are additional.
