Spend a day exploring the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge on a thrilling Class II+ raft trip on the Kenai River. Nearly two million acres in size, the Refuge offers majestic wilderness scenery, wildlife such as bears, moose, red salmon, and multiple species of birds. Your guide will then steer your raft into Kenai Canyon and expertly maneuver over the exhilarating whitewater rapids of the swift, deep waters of the Kenai River. Don't worry about getting soaked, you'll get splashed but remain dry thanks to the gear and boots that are provided. Once you're through the rapids, your guide will pull ashore so you can enjoy a hearty picnic lunch and a chance for you to stretch your legs and wander the riverbank in quiet solitude.

Back on board, your river adventure continues on and empties into the massive turquoise blue water of Skilak Lake, a pristine, glacier-carved lake in the heart of the Wildlife Refuge. Or, on the rare occasion the Alaskan winds kick up three-foot or higher waves on the lake, the trip will end with a 1.5 mile walk up Hidden Creek Trail and out of the canyon which will take you back to your pickup spot.
