Totem Bight State Park
Following your sightseeing tour around Ketchikan, you'll travel along the scenic North Tongass Highway to Totem Bight State Park. Established in 1938, this unique park offers a glimpse into the native Tlingit and Haida Indian cultures. Native carvers, using traditional hand-made tools, recreated 14 totems, restoring those that were badly damaged by time and weather. Enjoy a scenic walk along winding rainforest trails to an old Indian campsite filled with colorful poles and on to a replica of a 19th century Raven Clan House that would have held between 30 to 50 people.

Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show
The Travel Channel calls the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show one of the "Top 10 Things to See in Alaska." From the comfort of covered, heated and cushioned grandstands, you'll get to see Alaska's frontier lumberjacks battle British Columbia's premier woodsmen in a no-holds-barred competition for the title "Bull of the Woods." These world champion athletes are featured in springboard chopping, buck sawing, axe throwing, log rolling and the thrilling 50-foot tree climb, while the colorful host delights the crowd with stories of lumberjack lore.

There are so many memories ready to be made during this excursion. The colorful sights of Ketchikan, the vividly painted façade of the Clan House in Totem Bight State Park and the exhilarating sights of lumberjacks throwing axes and chainsaws, and having your picture taken with a lumberjack are just a few of the fun and fascinating sights you can capture. Special Notes:

Videotaping of the show is not permitted. There may be a short wait prior to the start of the lumberjack show. Guests make their own way back to the ship with a short walk after the show. Tour operator is authorized under special use permit to conduct tours in the Tongass National Forest. Tour order may vary.
