Eagle Islands Sea Kayaking

Your excursion begins as you board your motorcoach for a scenic, narrated drive out of downtown to Knudson Cove, an "off the beaten track" waterfront property.

Upon arriving, follow your kayak guides to the boat house where you gear up for your trip. Head down to the private dock and receive a sea kayaking orientation before loading into the tandem kayak with your partner. Quickly gain confidence as you paddle to the Eagle Islands in Clover Pass. Single and triple kayaks are also available upon request.

The protected waters of Clover Pass offer the opportunity to enjoy the tranquil setting of the Tongass National Forest. Following your guide, you'll learn about the natural and cultural history of the area while keeping a keen eye out for bald eagles, seals and jumping salmon. Paddling along the shore will provide views of the intertidal zone, a unique ecosystem where colorful starfish and sea urchins can be seen. If you want to bring a camera along to capture the scenic surroundings, rest assured it will be safe in a secure dry bag provided by your guide.

After nearly two hours on the water, you'll end your day with a hot beverage at the gift shop and a relaxing return drive back to the pier.

Special Notes:

Participants must be moderately fit with upper body strength. Minimum age is 8. Guests must not exceed 6'6" or 265 lbs.

Provided: Rain gear, life jacket, spray skirt, dry bag

Liability waiver is required to be signed in the presence of the tour operator.

Unaccompanied Minor Policy: Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Medical Restriction:

Not recommended for guests with back or hip problems or those with asthma.
