Your excursion begins at the pier where you'll board your air-conditioned transportation on a tour that focuses on Lower Manhattan, the southernmost part of the city where the main core of commerce and government is located. Upon arrival, you'll stop for a view of the 9/11 Memorial & Freedom Tower. Pay your respects to those lost during the September 11, 2001 terror attacks at the 9/11 Memorial, located at the site of the former World Trade Center. Nearby, take in the grandeur of the tallest building in New York City, the One World Trade Center, also known as the Freedom Tower.

Your next stop is Battery Park. Located at the southern-most tip of Manhattan Island, this site originally served as a defensive position to protect New York Harbor during the War of 1812. The Park features many photo opportunities, including spectacular views of New York Harbor, Governor's Island, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, off in the distance. You'll continue on to the South Street Seaport, Lower Manhattan's historic waterfront, where one of the city's five top attractions is located and boasts a fantastic up-close view of the Brooklyn Bridge. Enjoy exploring this thriving shopping area, with historic ships on display, a maritime museum and more than one hundred shops, cafés and restaurants.

You'll have approximately an hour of free time on your own to explore, shop, or eat before re-boarding the coach and heading back to the ship
