Founded in 1627 by the French, its colonial past is evident in the city's many restored Victorian and Georgian gingerbread buildings. Some of the landmarks you'll travel past includes Independence Square, St. George's Anglican Church, the Berkeley Memorial, and the Queen Victoria Statue Roundabout.

- Fairview Great House
Situated on three-and-a-half acres, this early 18th century estate gives you a sense of life in a more genteel era. Stroll through the colonial home, which includes a well-appointed living room, an elegant gentleman's study, dining room with the table set for a delicious West Indian dinner, and an impressive master bedroom with stunning island vistas. Then step across a stone bridge that leads from the rear veranda to the estate's stunning tropical Botanical Garden. As you walk the sun dappled grounds of the garden you'll find yourself enveloped by a wide variety of fruit trees, palms, shrubs and flowering plants.

As you mount the top of Timothy Hill prepare to feast your eyes on absolutely breathtaking scenes – the foaming crests of the Atlantic waves to the east and the tranquil Caribbean Sea to the west.
