WHAT YOU VISIT

Basseterre Scenic Drive
This charming capital of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis is one of the oldest towns in the Eastern Caribbean. Founded in 1627 by the French, it served as the capital of the French colony of St. Christophe, eventually growing into a vibrant merchant port. Today, its colonial past is evident in the city's many restored Victorian and Georgian gingerbread buildings. Out of the city, the open-air truck will travel through the Milliken Estate, an abandoned sugar plantation.

Monkey Hill Hike
Named for the vervet (green) monkeys that are often spotted here, the 1,319-foot-high hill is known for the legendary and mysterious Sofa Stone, a carved-out rock whose "seat" resembles an ancient altar.

Frigate Bay Beach Break
Known as one the most popular spots in St. Kitts, the bay is home to two scenic beaches. Take a swim in the clear, tranquil water or stroll the golden sands.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
The outlook from atop Monkey Hill is purely photogenic. Volcanic mountain ranges tower in the distance, Basseterre and the surrounding islands offer dramatic views, mango trees and date palms envelope Sofa Stone, and the water of Frigate Bay changes color with every wave.

REFRESHMENT
After your hike at Monkey Hill, you'll be served a well deserved drink before continuing on to Frigate Bay.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Soak up the colorful architecture of Basseterre, the dramatic views from hillside and beachside, and the island's intriguing history as you make your way around the island.

Minimum age to participate is 8 years old. A towel and comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Pregnant women or guests with back or neck injuries are not permitted. Beach chairs are not included.
