This tiny Caribbean island offers a tranquil slice of life that hardly exists in the Caribbean anymore. Columbus sailed past the island in 1493 but it took 150 years or so to became the most profitable British colony per capita, thanks to sugar. Among the quaint sights you'll see during your island drive is the bougainvillea-draped Georgian-style house where Alexander Hamilton was born.

Stretching out four miles, Pinney's is a popular spot to relax on the sand or enjoy a refreshing drink at the rustic beach bars.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
Rising more than 3,200 feet from the Caribbean, Nevis Peak is never far from view no matter where you are on the island; however, the top is usually shrouded in clouds.

LUNCH
Your unforgettable lunch on Nevis includes pineapple stewed chicken, red beans and island-style rice, Caribbean coleslaw, Greek pasta salad, hot dogs and banana bread.

Wear a swimsuit and bring a towel and adequate sun protection. Snorkeling equipment including snorkel vest are provided and must be worn. Alcoholic beverages are only served after the snorkel portion of the tour.
