The cosmopolitan capital of the French side, Marigot is home to colorful markets and trendy restaurants siting side-by-side with traditional stalls. Winding through the streets of central Marigot, you'll enjoy discovering old Creole houses, restored in the traditional Saint Martinoise style and often housing luxury boutiques

PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
The views from Lookout Point are truly panoramic. Perched atop Cole Bay Hill you can look out at Cay Bay, Cole Bay, Simpson Bay, and the beautiful blue Caribbean Sea.

SHOPPING
There is an upscale shopping area with luxury boutiques at the foot of Fort St. Louis, and near the harbor. The Marina Port la Royale has clothing from the latest European designers, as well as fine jewelry. Because the city is only four streets wide, it is easy to get around. Remember, all items are tax and duty-free and you will most likely be quoted prices in American dollars, which makes shopping a pleasure.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
On your way back to Philipsburg, sit back and relax on a narrated drive through the island. En route, you'll pass the quaint fishing village of Grand Case, known as the gourmet capital of the Caribbean, the sweeping vistas of Orient Bay, and the authentic atmosphere of the French Quarter before arriving back at the ship.
