Mayan Temples of Tulum:
One of the best-preserved Mayan ruins, Tulum (pronounced too-LOOM) is an ancient pre-Columbian Mayan kingdom rising high on the 15-meter-high cliffs above the Caribbean Sea. Tulum means 'wall,' and this protected, walled city was one of the very few of its kind that the ancients built and one of the last inhabited by the Maya, surviving almost 70 years after the Spanish occupation of Mexico. Its main temples are "El Castillo," The Temple of the Descending God, The Temple of the Water and the Temple of the Frescos, which showcases lavish figurines and was used as the observatory to study the movement of the sun.

Xel Ha Park:
One of the most popular tourist attractions in all of Mexico, Xel-Ha is the world's premier natural aquarium "The Hidden Wonder". The name Xel-Ha in the Mayan language means 'where the water is born,' and this enchanting lagoon offers visitors a true taste of paradise. The Maya considered these waters, fed by underground rivers and springs, to be sacred. Snorkel among rainbow-hued fish, float in an inner tube down subterranean waterways, swim in the tranquil waters, or simply while away the hours in a hammock gently blown by a tropical breeze. The flora and fauna are spectacular and best discovered along walking trails or by mini-train. Xel-Ha is an all-inclusive experience, and there are several inviting restaurants and bars on the premises. Lockers and a towel are provided, also ample amenities are provided.

What you see along the way:
Tulum is a quiet town in the Caribbean coastal state of Quintana Roo. Wind your way along rural roads, past charming villages and lush vegetation as you make your way via motorcoach to the cliff-top ruins.

Stop for a 'selfie' at the famous Tulum lookout with the magnificent temples and bright blue Caribbean Sea as a backdrop.

At Xel-Ha take a photo with an iguana or toucan or while swimming in the mythical cove, professional photographers are on hand to capture your adventure.

Lunch:
A tantalizing array of Mexican and international dishes can be found in one of the 2 restaurants, snack bars and buffets throughout the park. Food is all-inclusive, and original drinks are served at the bars or may be enjoyed in a comfortable lounge chair.

Special Notes:

This tour takes place in Playa del Carmen, located 45 minutes by ferry from Cozumel Island. Ferry ride may be rough. Guests who are prone to motion sickness should consider this before booking and/or take appropriate medication. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a hat, and reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen (no other kind of sunscreen is allowed in the water). To avoid sunburn, bring light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up.
