What you will visit:
Local Farmhouse and Cooking Demonstration
Journey into the countryside, where you'll be welcomed by local owners to their farmhouse and to the quintessential Italian way. Here, you'll learn how to prepare and cook an authentic Italian meal, featuring a signature pasta dish and decadent dessert. Choose your ingredients, then perfect your pasta-making technique so you'll be able to cook up a feast for your family and friends back home. Under the guidance of your host, your hands-on demonstration culminates with a sit-down meal of your own creation, accompanied by wonderful Italian wine.
What you will see along the way:
Travel north through the countryside that was once covered in vineyards and olive groves. This was the home of the Etruscans. This mighty civilization of seafarers, merchants and farmers populated this region about 5,000 years ago and was eventually folded into the Roman Empire. Today, you'll gaze upon remnants of their civilization as you enjoy the expansive pastoral landscapes that lead to your farmhouse destination.
Lunch:
Don an apron and prepare an authentic Italian feast, which will be served as your lunch. Savor Italy's scrumptious cuisine when you dine on crunchy bruschetta, ham salami, homemade pasta (prepared during the pasta-making experience), a decadent dessert, wine, soft drinks, mineral water, and coffee. The idyllic surroundings are as lovely as the meal.

Although this tour requires minimal walking, slight inclines and uneven terrain must be negotiated at the Farmhouse. Food allergies and dietary requirements should be communicated to the Tour Office at least 48 hours before the tour. Wear comfortable walking shoes. An apron will be provided.
