From the black sands of Wai'anapanapa State Park to the shimmering waters of Waikani Falls, the Road to Hana reveals an unspoiled paradise lost in time. And this extraordinary full-day tour is the ideal way to capture the essence of Maui's rainforest coast while discovering and learning about the native Hawaiian people, their culture and land.

Stretch out in the luxurious eight-passenger Limo-Van and tour the famous Hana Highway in air-conditioned comfort. This interactive adventure follows a leisurely pace. Photo opportunities abound with many stops made along this spectacular sea-coast drive. And time is allowed for a refreshing waterfall swim and an alfresco picnic luncheon served by the sea.

Your day begins with pick-up from Lahaina Pier. Then it's off to Maui's North Shore to start your "Adventure in Paradise". Prepare yourself for never-ending sights, sounds and activities as you wind your way along one of the world's most dazzling coastlines. Marvel at the hidden splendor of Honomanu and Nuaailua bays and feast your eyes on the seasonally varied fruit-laden trees - mangoes, java plums and avocados - of the Ko'olau Forest reserve.

At Kaumahina State Wayside Park (kaumahina means "moon rise"), you'll enjoy great views of the rugged coastline and the Ke'anae Peninsula. This portion of the Hana Highway passes lava pinnacles, taro patches, an old Hawaiian village, and a church built in 1860. A stop here provides breakfast cake, juice and coffee as well as fantastic views and an opportunity to listen to the expert commentary of your knowledgeable guides.

Let the surf tickle your toes on the black sand beach at Wai'anapanapa State Park. The rugged volcanic coastline here offers solitude from urban life. Offering one-stop natural attractions including native hala, lava tube, natural stone arch, sea stacks, blow holes and perhaps capture a glimpse of a seabird or two.

After arriving mid-day in Hana, it's time for lunch! A Hana Beach park is the setting for entrees of fresh wraps, one grilled herb marinated chicken breast and one lightly blackened 7-spice seared ono (fish) in a Maui-made tortilla wrap, or a fresh vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free wrap. And there are salads, Maui Gold pineapple and triple chocolate fudge brownie with toasted Hamakua macadamia nuts!

Take the return trip at a "Maui-style" pace. Bring bathing suits and towels to capture a lifetime memory of swimming in a freshwater pool under a cascading waterfall at Pua'a Ka'a State Park (weather and stream conditions permitting). In addition, the afternoon return journey takes you to Ho'okipa and the chance at a breathtaking "photo op" of Maui's world-class windsurfers.

Special Notes:

Maximum weight is 325 lbs. Participants must be able to walk over varied surfaces and terrains - paved, gravel, un-even lava rock terrain, natural trails, steps, beach and stream beds. Not appropriate for guests with heart conditions. Wheelchairs and walkers are not permitted on tour due to lack of storage space in the vehicle. Dress comfortably in layers and bring sunscreen, hat, jacket or light cover up for variable weather conditions. For swimming, guests are encouraged to bring suit and towel.
