WHAT YOU VISIT

Turtle Canyons
Ideal for experienced and novice snorkelers, Turtle Canyons boasts a 20- to 45-foot-deep reef that's a natural habitat for the endangered green sea turtle. Following a short transfer to the harbor, you'll join your skipper aboard a comfortable catamaran that features plenty of shade, a restroom, and bar. Along the way to the dive site, you'll discover that Hawaii's eight main islands are surrounded by 410,000 acres of live coral reefs, sometimes called the rainforest of the sea. You'll also learn reef safety and how sunscreen contributes to coral reef bleaching. Upon arrival at the dive site, you can don the provided mask, snorkel and swim vest, and descend into the welcoming water.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
Have your underwater camera at the ready as you snorkel through the turquoise waters around lava rock boulders and corals, endangered green sea turtles, porcupine puffers, eels, butterfly fish, yellow tang, and Hawaiian indigenous fish like the Humuhumunukunukuapua'a.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
With Diamond Head off in the distance, you may see dozens of playful dolphins swimming alongside the catamaran ship as it cuts through the waves off of Waikiki or humpback whales (in the winter months December to April).
