WHAT YOU VISIT
City Sightseeing Tour
Let a local show you around some of Auckland's most desirable destinations while learning its history and culture. Designed by Princess Cruises and inspired by local expert Karen Thompson Smith, this Princess Excusive guided tour begins at the pier. Once aboard your coach, you'll travel along the waterfront past historic Bastian Point. Overlooking Waitemata Harbor, it was the scene of protests by the Maori during the 1970s. Continuing on, you'll see the Auckland War Museum, which holds the world's most extensive collection of Maori and Polynesian artifacts. Then, you'll meander through the delightful Mt. Eden Village and on to Eden Park Stadium, New Zealand's largest sports stadium. After a tour through the popular suburb of Ponsonby you'll discover why Auckland is known as the 'City of Sails', as your drive takes you around the harbor, home to around 135,000 yachts and launches, more per capita than any other city in the world. Finally, you'll wind your way around to the foot of the 3,350-foot-long Auckland Harbor Bridge.
