What you will visit:
America's Cup Experience
The NZL 41 and NZL 68, America's Cup-class yachts, are berthed in Auckland's Viaduct Harbour. Built for the 1995 and 2003 America's Cup in San Diego, today they offer the opportunity to experience sailing authentic America's Cup yachts, the equivalent of driving a Formula 1 race car. Sails are hoisted, and passengers become crew, as you are encouraged to take the helm and work the grinders. If you prefer, simply watch the action and take in the spectacular views as the yacht sails down Waitemata Harbour.

Notes: No sailing experience is necessary to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Please wear flat-soled boat shoes or sneakers and bring a jacket.

What you will see along the way:
Sailing is a passion for many in New Zealand, and Auckland is one of the only cities in the world to have harbors on two separate bodies of water. It is nicknamed the "City of Sails" because of the hundreds of colorful yachts that dot the landscape. A sailing through Waitemata Harbor takes in Westhaven (the main mooring of Auckland's luxury yachts), the Auckland Harbour Bridge, as well as beautiful vistas of Auckland's cityscape and Sky Tower from a unique vantage point.

Special Notes:

Passengers must be at least 10 years of age to participate.

There is a walk of approximately 500 yards between the ship's berth and the departure/arrival point for the America's Cup boats.

Wear flat-soled boat shoes or sneakers and bring a jacket.
