What you will visit:
UTV Adventure:
Utility terrain vehicles, or UTVs, are a powerful and fun way to explore the rugged Alaska terrain. Get behind the wheel and set off caravan style on a 60-minute, adrenaline-fueled, guided trek over old logging trails, through the forest, and into the rugged mountains, stopping to hear the history of Ketchikan along the way.
Catamaran Cruise to George Inlet Lodge:
A 46-foot enclosed catamaran cruise to George Inlet Lodge is an opportunity to take in the stunning Alaska scenery from a different point of view. You'll enjoy the lush vegetation, majestic mountains, old gold mine and historic George Inlet Cannery. Look up for seabirds and eagles and keep your eyes peeled for abundant wildlife. On shore, visit George Inlet Lodge, once an old cannery bunkhouse but today a rustic retreat steeped in charm and warmth in a relaxed natural setting.
What you will see along the way:
You'll see Ketchikan's wondrous scenery from two vantage points on this thrilling adventure. From the seat of your UTV, traverse rugged terrain over bridges and past breathtaking vistas. Stop along the route to soak up the grandeur of this lush land, and watch for wildlife throughout the trip, as eagles, deer and bears are often sighted. Climb to high ground for stunning views of the Tongass National Forest and Alaska's iconic Inside Passage.
Beer Tasting and Local Delicacies:
Amidst the lodge's magnificent surroundings, you'll engage in a local craft beer tasting, sampling five brews from two local breweries paired with crab chowder, smoked-salmon dip, steaming hot Dungeness crab and a delicious piece of blueberry-topped cheesecake.
