What you will visit:

Wildlife Expedition Catamaran
A waterjet-powered expedition catamaran offers passengers exceptional comfort, with a heated cabin, wrap-around windows and comfortable seating. Its wide, spacious, open-air decks allow you to view the wildlife from multiple angles. An incredible variety of creatures calls Sitka Sound home, including sea otters, sea lions, seals, brown bears, puffins, bald eagles, and of course whales. See wild animals in their natural habitat while an onboard naturalist offers commentary on the thriving ecosystem of Sitka Sound.

Fin Island Lodge
Beachcomb, explore the breathtaking grounds or relax by a toasty beach fire on this exclusive island where an Alaska feast is served.

What you will see along the way:
Your captain will steer the waterjet-powered catamaran through picturesque Sitka Sound, studded with small islands and surrounded by spectacular coastal scenery. Keep an eye out for abundant wildlife, both in the icy waters and along the shoreline, including whales, sea otters, sea lions, porpoises, seals and bald eagles as well as Sitka black-tailed deer and brown bears that make their home among the glacier-carved peaks, secluded passages, and other natural wonders. A naturalist guide offers commentary throughout the tour.

Lunch:
A succulent feast is served by an attentive staff amidst spectacular natural surroundings. Tuck into a fresh Alaska king crab leg, wild salmon cooked over an alder wood-fired grill, and tender prime rib along with some tasty homemade side dishes and dessert. Alaska-brewed beers, wine and soft drinks are available for purchase. A breakfast twist on our signature Fin Island feast is featured for guests arriving before 10 a.m. Vegan and gluten free options are available, regardless of tour time.

Special Notes:

Dress in warm layers to fully enjoy the vessel's observation deck and island shoreline. Sturdy footgear is also recommended. On days with inclement weather, Fin Island Lodge offers a place to stay warm and protected from the elements. There is some walking required on flat (boardwalks, paved or carpeted) surfaces. Depending on tide there are sloping docks and ramps in order to access Fin Island Lodge. Participants have option to explore natural terrain surrounding Fin Island Lodge (grass and beach sand/gravel). One crab leg is included in the meal and additional servings are available for purchase.
