Enjoy an interpretive drive through historic downtown Skagway and up the Klondike Highway. From the highway, it's a short nature hike to the base of majestic granite cliffs recently smoothed by retreating glaciers.

Don rock climbing shoes, helmet and harness, receive an introduction to climbing from your guides, then rope up and start ascending the clean granite.

There are dozens of routes to choose from and your guide will pick one based on your experience and desire for a challenge. Each climb offers a stunning aerial view of the Skagway River, the White Pass & Yukon Route railway and the surrounding wilderness, as well as a tasty snack. You'll have the opportunity to climb many of the routes and to try rappelling on the high cliffs. Your experienced climbing guides enjoy sharing their knowledge and stories of adventures in the mountains. This is the perfect outing for first-timers or experienced climbers looking for a challenge.

Special Notes:

Participants must be at least 6 years old, weigh between 50 lbs. and 300 lbs. (or 52" waist size) and able to walk for 5 to 10 minutes over uneven terrain. No expectant mothers. Dress in warm clothing that allows good flexibility. An observer ticket may be booked onboard for anyone not wishing to participate but accompanying someone who does.

Provided: Rock climbing shoes, helmet, harness

Snack: Trail mix, water, coffee, hot cocoa

Liability waiver is required to be signed in the presence of the tour operator.

Unaccompanied Minor Policy: Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
