Description

Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.

Race down Lynn Canal, North America's deepest and longest fjord, on this two-hour heart-pumping wilderness adventure. Your tour begins with transportation by van to the staging area where you'll don a comfortable protective suit over your clothes to keep you warm and dry throughout the day. Be sure to bring your own gloves, sunglasses and hat (one that won't fly off in the wind.) Once you climb aboard, you'll take your place on the custom shock-absorbing seats and prepare for the thrill of racing through this dazzling scenery and along the steep rock walls of this incredible fjord.

Your vessel is the same type of boat used by the U.S. Navy SEALs and Coast Guard rescue teams. It is designed for a comfortable ride in all ocean conditions. Your captain does not have to follow a predetermined route; instead, he adjusts the tour to the weather conditions and wildlife cycle. You'll get up close and personal views of the thundering waterfalls, deep coves and abundant wildlife that lives on the rugged shores.

Your first stop may be a bald eagle nest for a wellness check and photo opportunity. Then you'll head south on the west side of the fjord. Twin Falls is another excellent spot for pictures. As you traverse the area, colorful narration enhances your tour, and you'll stop for multiple photo opportunities. You'll want to keep your camera at the ready for whales, seals, sea lions, eagles, sea birds and mountain goats.

Continue south down the fjord, and if time permits you will pull up near Taiyasanka Harbor for a viewing of the Ferebee Glacier. You'll then cross the fjord and start heading north along the picturesque eastern coastline pausing to see magnificent Sawmill Falls. On occasion throughout the tour, the captain will turn off the vessel's engines so you can float silently, taking in the sights and sounds of this pristine Alaskan wilderness.

At the conclusion of this exhilarating exploration of Alaska's magnificent scenery, your raft will enter Skagway's small-boat harbor. You may choose to return to port or to explore the historic gold rush town of Skagway.
