Description

Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.

If you thrive on outdoor adventure then this thrilling four-hour excursion's for you. All the gear and equipment are provided, you just need to dress in layers and wear comfortable, outdoor shoes.

The excitement begins as you board your transportation at the pier for a scenic drive through Skagway's downtown historic district, where you'll see Skagway much as it looked during the gold rush. You'll head out of town via the Klondike Highway as mile after mile of verdant scenery passes by your window. Thirty-five minutes later you'll arrive in the gold rush-era of Dyea. Now a ghost town inside the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park, remnants of a wharf, foundations of a few buildings and three cemeteries are all that remains of this once thriving port town.

Leaving the past behind, you'll continue on to the base of Grizzly Falls where a customized Unimog awaits your arrival. Once aboard this open-air, all-terrain vehicle it's just a 15-minute ride up a rugged mountain road. Soak up the fresh Alaska air as you climb through a forest of towering trees.

When you reach the mountaintop you'll meet your guide who will lead you through a detailed safety and equipment orientation. Then, you'll suit up in gear that meets all the highest safety regulations and practice on a low training cable. After you've learned how to safely navigate the course you're ready to burn off some energy.

Next, you'll head to the take-off zone. Here, you'll buckle in, latch on and get ready to zip, zip and away! Enjoy over 90 minutes of heart-pumping, exhilarating action over a course of ten different ziplines and four suspension bridges.

Soar over the treetops of the Alaska temperate rainforest of Sitka spruce trees, Douglas fir, red cedar and western hemlock. Feel the mist on your face as you fly over glacially-fed waterfalls. This course also includes specialty lines such as "The Pipeline," which stretches 750 feet - that's longer than two football fields; and others where you can reach speeds of 45 miles per hour!

You'll also have plenty of time to catch your breath, and take in the unique panoramic views between zips. After your exhilarating experience, you'll return to base camp to swap stories. Then, it's time to return to the comfort of your transportation and a relaxing drive back to your ship.
