Your adventure begins as you explore the rugged beauty of Alaska's deepest fjord on a 75-minute cruise aboard an enclosed custom built vessel designed for marine wildlife viewing and photography. Watch for whales and sea lions en route to a remote beach at Glacier Point.

After a short drive and a quarter-mile hike, the forest opens suddenly to the first breathtaking view of the Davidson Glacier tumbling from the towering mountains into a pristine lake. Board a 31' voyager canoe and paddle across an iceberg-studded lake to the face of a glacier that grows ever larger and more massive as you approach. The intense blue of the ice sharply contrasts with the polished granite walls and vibrant green forest. Some days the tour may include a walk to touch the glacier. This is an optional ½ mile hike over sand and cobble beach.

Throughout your tour, expert guides share their extensive knowledge of this amazing area. Hike back to the bus. After a 20-minute drive, a tasty box lunch will be served. Then relax and enjoy the cruise back to Skagway and your ship.

Special Notes:

Minimum age is 7. Participants must be in good general health and able to hike over uneven terrain. Dress warmly in layers and wear comfortable walking shoes with good tread. No expectant mothers. Guests must weigh between 50 lbs. and 350 lbs.

Meal: Turkey sandwich, trail mix/granola bar, fruit cup, bottled water

Liability waiver is required to be signed in the presence of the tour operator.

Unaccompanied Minor Policy: Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
