Dog Sledding & Glacier Helicopter Flightseeing

After a short transfer to the heliport you'll have a safety briefing and get outfitted with boots and vests for your time on the glacier.

Once on board the helicopter, you'll soar over the wilds of this gorgeous region - over deep crevasses and towering glacier spires! Marvel at details in the landscape that can only be seen from above, as you fly close enough to almost reach out and touch them.

After a thrilling 30-minute flight (roundtrip) over spectacular glaciers, we'll land at a dog camp on Denver Glacier where you'll meet the mushers and their dedicated canine companions on this unique Alaskan experience. These experienced guides will introduce you to "mushing," the art of dog sledding. Drive the team or relax in the sled while observing the breathtaking environment around you. We'll spend approximately one hour at this glacier camp that is home to nearly 300 Alaskan Huskies and puppies before re-boarding the helicopter for the return flight back.

Special Notes:

In order to participate, children must be able to understand the rules of interaction with the dogs and a parent or guardian must be present to supervise any interaction. Weight surcharge ($130) may apply on this flight. Due to weight and balance limitations, as well as passenger safety and comfort, the helicopter companies have advised that guests weighing 250 lbs. or more (fully clothed) will be assessed the weight surcharge to reserve adequate space onboard the helicopter. Guests weighing 250 lbs. or more should reserve 2 tickets and, once onboard, go to the Tour Office to have the extra ticket charge adjusted down to the surcharge amount. Refer to the FAQ section for more important information about flightseeing tours.

Tour operation depends on glacier snow conditions and usually runs through late August. Carry-on bags are not allowed and there is limited secure storage at the heliport. iPads, iPad minis, tablets, drones and Go-Pro Sticks or other extendable items are not permitted on tour. Aircraft fly no higher than 7,000 feet. Oxygen for personal use is allowed but must be in the form of an FAA approved portable oxygen concentrator that can be secured to the user's body.

Helicopter excursions are not refundable unless cancelled by 12:00pm on the day after embarkation.

Liability waiver is required to be signed in the presence of the tour operator.

Unaccompanied Minor Policy: Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Children 13 to 17 must have a signed parental consent form to participate without a parent or guardian.
