WHAT YOU VISIT

Victoria Culinary Walking Tour
A professional local foodie guide will offer you an insider's peek as you eat and drink your way through Victoria's bounty. A short stroll through James Bay, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Victoria brings you to Fishermen's Wharf where you can indulge in a number of tasty treats such as a slice of Hawaiian pizza at Pirate Pizza and fish and chips at Barb's Fish & Chips. As you continue your walk towards the inner harbor of downtown Victoria, your informative guide will point out areas of interest then you'll make a stop at the historic Steamship Terminal Building for a unique maple syrup tasting and a Nanaimo bar. More sweet treats await at Beavertails for fried dough lightly dusted with cinnamon and sugar and Rogers' Chocolates, the oldest chocolatier in Canada. Your culinary adventure ends with a very special ice wine tasting paired with local cheese and chocolate. The shuttle will return you to the cruise ship pier. Guests who wish to stay in town to shop or explore independently are welcome to do so, but must make their own way back to the ship.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
Indulge in the unhurried charms of downtown Victoria as you walk past such sites as the neo-Baroque BC Legislature building topped with a gold-plated statue of Captain George Vancouver, the historic Empress Hotel, and learn about the famous architect who designed both buildings and his scandalous and tragic ending.

SHOPPING
Following a tasting at Rogers' Chocolates, you'll have an opportunity to purchase a distinctly Canadian souvenir.
