Your journey begins as you board your air-conditioned transportation for the drive out to the two wineries: Casa Dona Lupe and L.A. Cetto. Enjoy the scenery as your guide narrates, providing the history of Ensenada and the Baja area, including local customs and traditions.

Located just a few miles northeast of Ensenada, about 850 feet above sea level, lies Calafia Valley. This remote region of the Baja Peninsula is widely recognized as the area of Mexico perfectly suited for growing the type of grapes required for making high-quality wines.

Casa Dona Lupe and L.A. Cetto use old-world methods, and they've become pioneers in the development of wine in Mexico. Both wineries have been plying their craft for hundreds of years and are highly respected for their expertise in the production of sherry, wine and brandy. A bottle of wine will be given as a souvenir per person.

Learn how wine is produced. See the entire production process, from the crushing of grapes and fermentation, to the pressing, aging and bottling. Afterwards, enjoy a wine tasting accompanied by an assortment of cheeses and biscuits. The wines can be purchased at considerable savings.

Upon return to Ensenada, you'll have time to explore Ensenada on your own or be escorted back to the ship. The main shopping district has many shops offering everything from Mexican handicrafts to imported merchandise.
