What you will visit:
Santa Barbara, Local Welcome
Setting this excursion apart are the personal connections you'll make throughout the day. Dockside you'll be greeted with local stories by a Spanish-costumed tour greeter, a recipient of the "Community Hero Award," who has in-depth knowledge of the local cultural history and events and provides tips for making the most of any visit.

Old Mission Santa Barbara
No tour of Santa Barbara is complete without a stop at the majestic Santa Barbara mission, founded in 1786. Set against a backdrop of rugged mountains, the mission's commanding presence and graceful lines leave no doubt as to why she is called "Queen of the Missions." The history of the area reveals itself in the mission's museum, chapel and historic cemetery, where many of the city's founders are interred. This exclusive tour includes skip-the-line convenience, a trained docent throughout the interior, and a special greeting by a Franciscan friar or local Parish leader. A downloadable Mission Exterior Walking Tour covers the outside points of interest, now available in 5 languages. You'll also receive a gift of other Santa Barbara virtual tours to enjoy on your cruise or at home while you plan your return visit.

What you will see along the way:
Your return ride will take in such legendary landmarks as the Santa Barbara Courthouse, the most beautiful government building in America, occupying a square block in downtown Santa Barbara; the white-washed adobe brick buildings of the Presidio; and the historic Theater District, where the Lobero Theatre, one of California's oldest, was the site of movie previews during Hollywood's golden era. Along the way, you'll learn historical facts about the city's Spanish and Moorish style architecture, beautifully restored Victorian houses and the history of the city known as the American Riviera.

Special Notes:

Wear comfortable walking shoes. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for guests with mobility limitations. Cannot bring strollers or other wheeled transport.
